How I spend a summer day in July…
A planning morning at my local cafe, mainly to people watch as I managed to get a table by the window.
I am adding my creative touch in between the pages of my Filofax.
Staedler’s watercolour pencils are my favourite drawing / painting tools at moment.
Doodling a few flowers, then a few brushstrokes with water…
This well loved red Domino was started to look a bit on the tatty side.
I read few blog posts from Filofaxers who dyed or painted their planners.
So I rolled up my sleeves and began the makeover.
I took some fine sandpaper and lightly sanded the surface.
I used a water based adhesive to prime the surface.
Then applied a coat of acryluc paint in burnt umber and topped with a coat of black.
I finished it off with two coast of varnish and added a few stickers.
Now, do I move my knitting Filofax to this Domino….
I’m finally getting around to showing off my amazing wreath!
For Canada Day I have a very special wreath on my front door.
Made by a group of my knitterly/crafty friends for my birthday earlier this year. The colours remind me of the Canadian flag.
The creative stitching is lovely. …
