This month marks two years of pilates…. I am absolutely delighted with my slow achievements:
one hundreds… high plank… pilates push ups (I can do four : ) … jack-knife … and finally I get the breathing….
What has kept me going?
Accessibility of my local gym…it’s in my neighbourhood.
Drive and determination… my progress was very slow but I have a Spouse who encouraged me to keep at it.
Friendship…. I have a new circle of friends who do not knit ; )
A bit of colour to brighten up my week.
I love the Faber-Castell colouring pencils.
Using the blue hues for this week’s headliner….
Happy International Day to all my nursing colleagues, friends and family who are in the nursing profession.
It is often thought that medicine is the curative process. It is no such thing; medicine is the surgery of functions, as surgery proper is that of limbs and organs. Neither can do anything but remove obstructions; neither can cure; nature alone cures. Surgery removes the bullet out of the limb, which is an obstruction to cure, but nature heals the wound. So it is with medicine; the function of an organ becomes obstructed; medicine so far as we know, assists nature to remove the obstruction, but does nothing more. And what nursing has to do in either case, is to put the patient in the best condition for nature to act upon him.
Last weekend I scored a yarn cake of Fleece Artist Merino from my friend, Isobel who was having a destash sale.
It is a gorgeous colourway that will coordinate nicely with my Filofax Original.
I looked through my Ravelry favourites and the Easy as Pie shawl is calling of to me.
My second acquisition is this beautiful skein of Malabrigo Lace a colourway. I absolutely love it!
I also bought one more item to match my nails. …
Which will become a pair of socks.
